Leadership
Captain A. McPherson
Arrit founded San Diego Parasailing Adventures in 1989. Since then he has amassed over 35 years of hands-on experience across all aspects of the parasailing industry.
Arrit has pioneered the creation of multiple training and risk-management programs, and is widely recognized for his commitment to advancing industry safety standards and for reducing the high cost of insurance.
As the founding member of the Professional Association of Parasail Operators (PAPO), he spearheaded the development and implementation of the world’s first commercial parasailing standards and guidelines, which have since evolved into the modern ASTM standards used today.
Arrit and the Parasail Academy are fully committed to once again helping operators navigate the process of bringing down the high cost of insurance.
Matt founded Atlantic Parasail in 1989 (The first parasail company in New Jersey) launching an impressive career that spans over 35 years. Matt served on the PAPO board for over twelve years, while providing a wealth of hands-on experience and expertise across every facet of the industry.
Matt is renowned for the introduction of the revolutionary Ocean Pro 31, the most popular and commercially successful parasailing vessel ever created. This groundbreaking innovation has transformed the industry and helped pave the way for operators throughout the world.
Today, the Ocean Pro 31 and its sister, the OP 35, stand as pinnacles of reliability and are considered the finest parasail vessels available.
Matt is dedicated to supporting the parasailing community, and enjoys helping operators improve safety and efficiency.
Captain Joel Richard
Joel (Aka Rasta) together with Matt co-founded Ocean City Parasail in 1995, launching a remarkable 35 year career.
Joel has extensive hands-on experience across every facet of the parasailing industry, he has operated in nearly every corner of the world, while logging an industry leading 500,000 passenger flights.
Joel is an active leader in the parasailing community. He is always willing to offer his support and is fully committed to helping operators level-up their safety programs in an effort to bring down the high cost of insurance.
